
Reds Pick up Huge win over #3 Desert Hills
Coming into the night the Cedar Reds held an 18-7 record while Desert Hills sat at 18-6. The Thunder beat the Red back on September 15th. The Reds ultimately played spoiler on the night knocking the Thunder out of the top spot in the Region for the first time in 7 years putting Crimson Cliffs on top in the Region with only a week left in the Regular season.
The Cedar Reds came out on fire to start the night on Senior night as they dominated the first set by the score of 25-14. Led by Emery Harrison and Liko Fallou on the outsides and Shimada and Ludlow in the Middle the Reds took control of the set early running out to a 9-2 lead and never looked back taking the set handily.
Set #2 didn’t go the Reds way as a tightly contested match was evenly played from the start up until the Thunder took control after the teams reached 17 pionts. The Thunder finished off set number two 25-19 to even the match at 1 set a piece.
The rest of the night belonged to the Reds. Sets 3 and 4 went Cedars way as they were able to pull away each set to secure the 3-1 victory over the #3 ranked Desert Hills.


Football with Road test at Desert Hills
The Cedar Reds Football team is 3-4 on the season and three of the 4 losses were all within one score losing by 7, 3 and 1 in those contests. Looking for a signature win in Region 10 for this 2022-23 season the #8 seeded Reds go into Desert Hills who are #2 in the RPI right now. Good Luck tonight boys.


The Cedar Reds volleyball team travels to Delta to take on the Rabbits this evening. The Reds have been playing really well as of late after annihilating the Snow Canyon Warriors last night in straight sets. The Reds have 17 wins against 7 losses on the season and sit at #5 in the RPI. Delta is 10-7 and is #6 in the 3A RPI. Good Luck Tonight Girls.


Cedar Volleyball Dominates Snow Canyon in 3 Sets!
The Cedar Reds Volleyball team swept the Snow Canyon Warriors in dominant fashion on Thursday Evening. The Reds took set #1 easily 25-14 and just got better and better as the night went on holding the Snow Canyon Warriors to under 15 points in each set. The Warriors had no defense for Emery Harrison as she hammered away at the Warriors all night long. The Win moves the Reds record to 18-7 on the season. Congratulations Girls.


The Cedar Reds Volleyball team looks to keep their momentum as they take on the Snow Canyon Warriors in Santa Clara on Thursday night. Winners of 5 of the last 6 games and 16-7 overall the Reds have moved up to #5 in the RPI. Snow Canyon is #7 in the RPI at 10-9 on the season. Good Luck Tonight Ladies.


Studio Reds Earn Sweepstakes at Shakespeare Competition!
The Advanced Theatre class competed at the Shakespeare Competition this past weekend, and they did a great job representing Cedar High!
They received first place sweepstakes in their division! Sweepstakes is determined from adding up all of the points from the ensemble scene, three monologues, and two duo scenes.
They also received second place with their ensemble scene.
Tiana Green took third in monologues. There were 45 monologue entries, so that’s quite an accomplishment!
And our two duo scenes (Sheila Rains and Lily Wilson, Abby Briggs and Deva Younkin) ranked 4th and 5th place (out of 30 scenes).

The Cedar Reds Soccer team has a showdown with the Warriors tonight at 7:30 pm. Both teams have identical 10-3 records on the season and the Reds got the best of the Warriors back on Sept. 1st, winning 4-3. Snow Canyon is #4 in the RPI and the Reds are #6. Good Luck Tonight Ladies.


Cedar Reds Volleyball heads south this evening taking on the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs. Cedar is 11-5 on the season and #5 in the RPI with Crimson #6 in the RPI with a record of 11-7. The two teams are fairly evenly matched however Crimson came into Cedar September 1st and defeated the Reds 3 sets to 1. The Reds look to avenge that loss tonight. Good Luck Ladies.

The Cedar Reds Volleyball team was able to continue playing great volleyball as they took down the Flyers in 3 sets on Thursday evening. They took a tightly contested contest in the first set 25-23 and then a dominant second set put the Reds in control 2 sets to none. The Flyers put up a good fight in the third set but it was the Reds coming away victorious 28-26 to secure the victory. The Win improves the Reds record to 11-5 on the season so far. Way to go Girls.


The Cedar Reds improved their overall record to 10-3 thus far on the season as they defeated the Hurricane Tigers 2-1 on Thursday afternoon. The Tigers fought the Reds tough especially in the first half of the game as the two sides dueled to a scoreless tie. The Reds struck first in the second half with a score from Kenzie Bird. However the lead was short lived as Hurricane countered and scored just after the Reds to knot the score back at 1 a piece. It remained that way until 15 minutes remaining when the Reds put pressure on the Tiger defense and drew a penalty on the Tigers in the Box. 4A leading scorer Keana Tolman took the penalty kick and delivered the go ahead goal for the Reds. The Defense was able to hold tight and keep the Tigers out of the net to secure the victory. Congratulations Girls!


The Cedar Reds stayed consistent finishing 3rd on their home course on Wednesday afternoon, Luke Barnes tied for 3rd place just 2 shots off of the leaders, while Dylan Orton finished in 8th place and Braylon Bingham finished in 10th. Congratulations Golfers!!


The Cedar Reds Volleyball team took down the Valley Buffaloes on Wednesday night in a non-region contest in straight sets. The Reds dominated the contest from start to finish, improving their overall record to 10-5 on the season. Way to go Reds.


The Cedar Reds Golf team will be hosting the Region 10 field at the Cedar Ridge Golf course this afternoon. Good luck Golfers.


The Cedar Reds Volleyball team swept the Pine View Panthers on Tuesday evening winning 25-17, 25-21 and 25-19. The Reds improve to 9-5 on the Season and 4-2 in Region play as they closed out the first half of Region on a high note. The Reds will start the Second round of Region play on Thursday evening traveling to Dixie to take on the Flyers. Way to Go Girls.


Parents,
After school today the fire alarm went off evacuating the building due to a small fire. All students are safe and no significant damage was done. The main building of the school is closed until 6:00 pm this evening. Volleyball will still play as scheduled in the main gym and school will resume tomorrow morning at 7:50 am.

The Cedar Volleyball team plays the Pine View Panthers tonight at Cedar High School at 7 pm. The Reds are 8-5 on the season and are ranked #5 in the RPI for the season and the Panthers are 4-8 on the season and ranked #9 in the RPI. The Reds are coming off of a tough loss at Desert Hills and are led by Emery Harrison with 103 kills followed Ansley Coates 63 kills on the season. Come out and support the Lady Reds as they look to take down the Panthers.


The Cedar High Cross Country team competes this afternoon at the Hurricane Invitational at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Races starting at 5 pm. Good Luck Runners.


The Cedar High Tennis team is competing this afternoon at Pine View in the final region matchup before the Region Tournament next week. The girls are each looking to improve their seedings for the Region tournament. Good Luck Ladies.
