The lockdown at Canyon View Middle School was lifted at about 9:01 a.m. The school was placed in a lockdown at about 8 a.m. following an anonymous SafeUT tip that a student had posted a threatening message on social media. Law enforcement and administrators have investigated the report and performed a security check of the entire facility. The students involved are being interviewed by officials.
We apologize for the earlier confusion as school staff worked to get students safely into their classrooms with school just beginning. All students are safe and school has returned to normal.
