We will be back in session Wednesday, January 24, 2024, and are looking forward to having our students back in class. In light of recent events over the past few days, we want to reassure you every action and precaution has been put in place to ensure the safety and welfare of our students. Like you, we were very concerned when students and staff became ill. We have been grateful for the outpouring of support we have received from outside agencies.
As of now, we know all the detectors in the building are and were in good working order. We also know the testing conducted by the fire department, gas company, and National Guard’s 85th WMD Civil Support Team has deemed our building safe, including the heating and cooling systems. We are certain the contamination occurred due to the construction. In the meantime, the district has not allowed any use of gas-powered tools in the remodel area while the exact cause is being investigated.
