Seventh grade science students had an electrifying adventure in today’s Van de Graaff generator lab! Guided by their teacher, students explored how electrons move across the sphere and re-ground through mini “lightning strikes.” They watched pie tins soar through the air, classmates’ hair stand on end, and even lit up lightbulbs using nothing but static electricity. Laughter filled the room as students playfully shocked their partners, and some classes even created long human chains to pass the electric charge. It was a thrilling hands-on experience that made the power of static electricity come to life!
